I run through the crowded streets as horrified wails deafen my ears. My vision is blurred with tears that have already ran down my cheeks. I see the pain and suffering through the eyes of the people who run as I do. They're afraid, they're angry, they're broken.
The fear that rushes through me is so intense, so thick. I cannot breathe.
I watch as red flies everywhere. The sounds of bombs go off, clouding my mind and soul with deeper fear that threatens to shatter me to pieces. I'm already leaking out, the fresh tears are evidence.
I just want to find my sister, the last sign of hope I have. Mother and father have already disappeared from the surface of this very planet. I just want to find her, quick. But more time passes by, I haven't found her yet. Hope slowly begins to wither and fade to black, desperation becomes richer, and I can see her name in my mind. It's shrinking as time passes on.
The inner clock ticks, I shouldn't be here. I shouldn't be here... She shouldn't be here...
Just as I start to give into grief, my eyes light up at the sound of her voice, she's calling my name. I follow the sounds down the street as they get louder, closer. I turn a corner and I see her on her knees, crying, looking around for me.
I hurry to her, scoop my dear little sister up in my arms, and then turn quickly on my heels, running faster than I ever had before straight out of this God forsaken city. Adrenaline washes through my veins and body. Already worn out legs become weaker as I get closer to the exit, but it doesn't matter. I need to get somewhere safe.
A war has begun.

So, it's almost 9pm and I'm bored. Suddenly, I decide to write a story. Because why not. I need to start some type of series anyway, and typing is easier than drawing to me.
Trust me, this is not the only idea of a series I have in mind. I'm actually going to be starting a couple comic series' in the near future, which I had been developing for a while. As for this series, the first chapter will come soon. I just wanted to upload this to put produce possible interest.
Cries of War is a series about how two siblings have to survive by themselves, alone, as a war breaks out between their civlization and another. I haven't figured out all the details yet, but basically, it's a really brutal war, and it just recently began in this story. As it says in the prologue, the protagonist's parents are already dead, and she only has her little sister left. Their house is also destroyed, so they're homeless. The two sisters have to survive by themselves, and this is showing them running out of the city to find a safe place to stay at.
As for basic things, this isn't set on Earth, this is set in it's own different world I made up. The world they live in isn't even that big, it's like... One very large continent xD
The continent is split up into two different sides, one side is made up of humans, the other side is made up of elves. And basically, the elves have declared a deadly war on the humans.
